ABOUT CATWG AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Catwg After School Club aims to provide a safe, friendly environment for children to enjoy after school hours.
THE CLUB
The club is managed by a voluntary committee and run by the play leaders. We are situated on site at Catwg Primary School. We are registered by the CIW to provide Out of School Care. We use the main hall and the outdoor area of school, which is enclosed within secure boundaries of the school.
The sessions operated by the club are Monday to Friday 3:20pm go 5:30pm, during term time. Fees are charged per session. Monthly or termly contracts as well as casual bookings are subject to availability upon request.
We also run an Easter Club in the first week of the Easter break and the first three weeks in the summer break for summer club. These are open from 8:30am – 5:30pm and are charged daily.
THE CHILDREN
The club caters for children between the ages of 3 to 12 years old. Places are limited to within the guidelines for staff to child ratios which are 1:8. We are registered by CIW to care for a maximum of 40 children.
SEESAW
Catwg After School Club use seesaw (http://seesaw.me) – a secure online diary where you can see what the children in club are getting up to in day-to-day activities. A consent form will be included in the information packs for you to sign if you would like access to the photos.
STAFF
There are several members of staff, a play leader, a play assistant and play workers. There is also a register of emergency cover staff. All staff are highly qualified and experienced individuals. Every member of staff are policed checked and meet all standards as set out by the ‘National Minimum Standards for Regulated Child Care’ guidelines, issued by the Welsh Government.
ADMISSIONS
Registration forms are contained in this information pack. Admissions into the club are on a ‘first come-first offer’ basis and will be viewed subject to the admissions policy, placed at the back of this booklet.
A waiting list will be in operation for oversubscribed sessions and the play leader will give due notice to applicants when a place becomes available. These terms apply to all.
If you wish to apply for place/places at the club, please return the registration form to a member of after school club staff.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel any sessions in After School Club, you would still be required to pay for your cancellations. This is due to the circumstance of the club being a non-profitable group, where we are not under the school umbrella. If you do need to cancel you would need to call or text club as soon as possible to make us aware of any absences.
